Our passion for coffee began many years ago when I would walk barefoot on my grandparents' coffee farm in Puerto Rico. Growing up surrounded by the rich aroma of freshly harvested beans sparked a lifelong love for coffee. After countless mornings drinking coffee at home and visiting local coffee shops in search of the perfect cup, Semilla Coffee Roasters was born.

This dream became a reality after years of honing my skills—learning the art of home roasting, mastering production roasting, brewing exceptional coffee, and navigating the complexities of coffee import logistics. I poured my heart, soul, and life savings into making Semilla Coffee Roasters more than just a business—it's my life project and my way of sharing my passion with you.

Growing up in a coffee-producing family shaped my vision as a coffee professional, inspiring me to address key challenges in the coffee industry. We're passionate about people and the joy that coffee brings to their day, and our mission is simple: to deliver the world’s best coffee straight to your doorstep.

Over 80% of our coffees are Certified Organic, Direct Trade, and Rainforest Alliance Certified. These certifications reflect our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, supporting diversity in growing conditions and regions. For us, sustainability starts with quality—because paying fair premiums to farmers ensures not only exceptional coffee but also better livelihoods for the people who grow it.

As we grow, so does our responsibility. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing farmers today, and we’re taking action. We're proud to be one of the e-commerce brands offsetting carbon emissions from shipping.
