Our passion for coffee starts many years ago when I would walk barefoot on my grandparent's coffee farm in Puerto Rico. After many years of drinking coffee at home and visiting local coffee shop, always chasing the perfect cup of coffee. Semilla, emerged. After many years of practicing home roasting, production roasting, brewing coffee and coffee imports logistics I put all of my personal life savings into my life project, Semilla Coffee Roasters.

We are dedicated to sourced high-quality coffee and to create sustainable relationships with coffee farmers. Coming from a coffee producing family transformed my vision as a coffee profesional to address the need on the coffee industry, We are obsessed with people and the happiness coffee brings to your day. Our mission is to bring the world's highest quality coffee right to your doorstep.

We are dedicated to creating sustainable relationships with coffee farmers by sourcing and roasting small batches of high-quality coffee. As a result, over 80% of our coffees are Certified Organic, Direct Trade and Rainforest Alliance Certified. We support these certifications and believe strongly in an inclusive, ethical, and responsible approach to sourcing coffee that truly accommodates diversity of growing conditions and regions.

High-quality leads to sustainability to ensure quality the premiums rate must be paid to coffee farmers. Each certification has value to the improved conditions in which a certified coffee is produced, thus increasing the quality of green coffee.

As we continue to grow, we have an increasing responsibility to commit additional resources toward our values to maximize the positive impact of our products.

The climate change is complicated, overwhelming, and costly for farmers. So, it’s often hard to know what we can do about our carbon footprint. We are taking a stand and doing something about it. We are one of the e-commerce brands to offset low carbon emissions from shipping. Our compromise comes at no additional cost to our customers.
